another story book....

Hi,,,what`s up guys? I hope u would be better than before…huu,,

Yo,,let`s begin our task…okay,,my story book for this week has written by Peggy Tan Pek Tao, who is a lecturer that teaches in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. The title for this book is `Gifts Of The Heart : stories to lift the spirits…’This book is story about people’s life. Either it may be affected by a twist of fate and vicissitudes or not. This book also contain of two part ;Part One in this book is entitled ` A Twist of Fate’, while Part Two is about women`s lives which entitled `Women`s Stories’. There are some part of the book is more literary for a story that can be simply be a slice of life to reflect themes, plots, characterization and narrative techniques.

Hmm,, today’s class,,,like usual….sometimes feel boring, but sometimes feel enjoy and excited to learn English especially when we were asked to do our academic writing. So, let’s proceed,,, everyone should refer to EAP (crossing boarder) book and then go through page by page, Miss Shafika was briefly explain everything in that pages..so bored……we all felt sleepy and sleepy…..(- , -)suddenly Miss Shafika was asked everyone to stand up,, hmm I know her tricks…that is only a person who get answer her questions can sit, while the rest should stand up until the end of the class,,how cruel are she,right?huu,,,,actually, it is not the cruel that u guys thinks,,but it just one of the teaching method that she apply in her class to give a lesson for each student to be prepared before enter the class. Sounds good right? but it is really happen in the class that what we have to face everyday.huh....‎-.-"

Huu,, hallo everybody..as usual..in my bel class, we still focus on our academic writing..so, today we have learnt how to paraphrase and summarizing.FYI, paraphrasing is changing the structure of sentences but do not change the meaning of the sentences. There are a lot of paraphrasing techniques, which are synonyms, moving phrase, changing voices, changing part of speech, and lastly is sentences combining. While, summarizing is shorter the whole essay or paragraph to be simple to read and understand quickly as long as it doesn’t change the original meaning of the sentences. So, for the end of the class I can understand slightly on how to do a paraphrasing and summarizing as well as can apply in my academic writing.;p

my story book!

Hallo, everyone….sorry coz i`m late for updating my blog..okay, for this entry, we were asked by Miss Shafika to summarize about any story book that we have read. So, my story book for this week are entitled `A Lesson For Trusting A Stranger’. Actually this book seem like children story book, but it doesn`t matter right? as long as it is an English book.  So let’s enjoy reading this book.

This book is story about a shepherd that had fifteen sheep with him, and there is someone who wants to buy his sheep but he don`t want to sell them. The shepherd loves his sheep very much, but actually the person who wants to buy the sheep had a bad intention, he wants to kidnap the sheep. Another day, comes tiger that wants to be friend with the shepherd. The tiger would guard the shepherd`s house and sheep. Days passed, the shepherd had an idea, he wants to visit his aunty at the next village. He trusted the tiger very much to guard his sheep. A week later, the shepherd was ready to go home, then he went to the shed and saw not even a single sheep at there, just there were bones all over the shed. Now he realized that the tiger had eaten all his sheep. The shepherd fell to the ground and cried, but it was too late. He should not have trusted a stranger.

my first class??what happen?? o_O

  I still remember what happen in my first class.hmm..my first class is BEL 311..OMG! i fell very excited to learn English because i like it.haha.My lecturer's name is Miss Emy Shafika Nordin.Hmm..before start our lecture,Miss Shafika ask us to introduce ourselves.As usual,the 'interesting' question is about your name, your nick name,you comes from, and your perception about English.Hmm...when it come to my turn.I felt very nervous.So that, I said,'my name is Norkhalidahwahyu bt Muslihat.Anyone can call me khalidah,i came from Merlimau, Melaka.My perception about English is English is not too hard but at the same time we should to do more exercising, practicing and other skills especially in term of speaking.Lastly, I hope I can improve my English to be better until I can achieve my goal... This movie is about the lovers that care each other.This movie also about how they tried to survive.As general, Titanic is the most interesting movie because this movie show us the strength of their loves, sacrifice for each others and learn how to deal with high class community
